The United States Morgan Silver Dollar is arguably the most coveted vintage silver dollar in the world. According to numismatists, they’re also relatively scarce, with as few as 15% of Morgans struck from 1878 to 1921 (28 pcs in total) existing today in any condition.

George T. Morgan’s classic design makes the Morgan Dollar highly desirable to collectors and investors around the world. Own one of the most beloved designs in American coinage.

Obverse: Left facing profile of Liberty. Anna Willess Williams, a teacher and philosophical writer, modeled for this design by George T. Morgan of Lady Liberty.

Reverse: Features a bald eagle clutching an olive branch in one talon and a bundle of arrows in the other. Surrounding the eagle is “United States of America,” “One Dollar,” and “In God We Trust.”

  • Ships in an individual protective plastic flip.
  • Good condition.
  • Issued a face value of $1 (USD) by the United States government.
  • The obverse features Lady Liberty as inspired by Anna Willess Williams.
  • The reverse bears a depiction of the heraldic eagle of the United States.

Morgan Silver Dollars Future Value

The future value of a coin is something that is fairly easy to determine, especially when you know that the coin is no longer being produced. When it comes to the Morgan Silver Dollar, these coins have not been on the US Mint’s production lines for nearly 100 years, which means that the value of the coins is always on the rise. As the year’s pass, you can bet that there will be fewer and fewer Morgans on the market. Knowing this, it goes without saying that these coins will only ever grow more costly as time moves forward. For this reason, there has never been a better time than now to get your hands on a Morgan Silver Dollar.
